The use
of cinnamon dates back to the ancient times. It is an evergreen tea that is
cultivated in Egypt, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India. Cinnamon can be had in two
ways. The bark of the tree is dried and then rolled in small sticks or it is
crushed and then powdered. Oil extracted from the bark of the cinnamon has a
substance called cinnamaldehyde, which imparts the unique flavor and smell in
cinnamon. Cinnamon is also known to be a highly effective anti-oxidant much
higher than the other foods known for their anti-oxidant properties like
pomegranate or blueberries. One teaspoon of cinnamon contains more
anti-oxidants than a full cup of pomegranate or half a cup of blueberries.

phenomenon. Millions of people the world over are searching for ways to reduce
their body fat. Taking cinnamon powder along with your food or drinking
cinnamon tea can be an excellent way for you to control your excess fat.
Cinnamon is widely used in our food during the winter season because it adds
warmth to our body. The thermo genic process activates and speeds up our
metabolic rate which then helps us to burn down the excess fat by reducing the
amount of calories stored inside our body.
Cinnamon
also decreases the blood sugar levels which increasing the level of insulin.
The increase in insulin levels destroys the fat cells of our body. Experts feel
that the regular consumption of cinnamon tea is particularly effective in
reducing body fat amongst diabetes patients since an increase in insulin levels
will help in reducing their blood sugar levels.
Cinnamon tea is especially effective in controlling belly fat or
abdominal fat since the large circulation of blood vessels in the abdominal
regions helps in breaking down the fat cells which are situated so close to our
digestive organs.
